In House Legal Counsel – (Remote)

They are seeking an in-house Legal Counsel to join the Legal team and help shape the future of financial services. This role reports directly to the General Counsel and will focus on supporting an increasing volume of SaaS agreements with enterprise and mid-market clients, whilst helping build the legal framework and infrastructure to support rapid business growth. Key Responsibilities
* Support the Business
* Support Sales and Account Management teams throughout all stages of customer agreements, from strategy and NDAs to negotiating and closing full SaaS contracts.
* Contract Negotiation
* Lead on resolving client queries and concerns during contract negotiations, collaborating with internal stakeholders as needed.
* Compliance
* Assist with legal review and responses to requests for proposals, ensuring adherence to regulations, GDPR, and IP protection.
* Cross-Functional
* Provide legal assistance to HR as required, and offer Company Secretarial support across multiple jurisdictions.
* Data Room Maintenance
* Work alongside the CFO and external counsel on investment-related matters, including the continual maintenance of the data room.
* Contracts Management
* Contribute to refining contracts management processes and systems, as well as implementing and enforcing contract policies.
* General Counsel Support
* Provide additional administrative and research support to the General Counsel.
Skills and Experience
* Qualified solicitor / barrister with 2 years’ plus PQE and some in-house experience.
* Self-starter with a passion for taking on responsibility and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
* Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating technology-related subscription/licence agreements, ideally in the FinTech/financial services sector.
* Familiarity with Company Secretary filings across multiple jurisdictions; ability to instruct external advisors when necessary.
* Knowledge of data privacy rules, including GDPR and Data Processing Agreements.
* Experience in leading client-facing negotiations, explaining standard contract terms, and securing final closures.
* Clear understanding of compliance obligations and the impact of contract terms.
* Financial services experience with relevant schemes (e.g. service providers, acquirers) and an understanding of related compliance areas is a plus.
