The American Red Cross is seeking a bilingual (English + Spanish) detail-oriented and self-motivated senior manager for digital content strategy, with a focus on the Biomedical Services website (RedCrossBlood.org) and app (Blood Donor App). This fully remote position will lead content strategy and implementation across Red Cross digital platforms with the goal of enhancing and optimizing a visitor’s journey into the conversion funnel. Additionally, in the first 12-24 months of this role, a large portion of time will be dedicated to serving as the POC for content as part of an organizational-wide website redesign initiative including content migration and translation, while continuing to own all day-to-day duties within the current platforms. The candidate will also be responsible for managing all in-app content including items such as promotions, badges, feature updates and more. The candidate will need to possess strong organizational skills and deep experience with content strategy as well as content implementation. This role will report to the Director of Digital Marketing.
Salary Range: 100k-105k
Key Responsibilities
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
1. Project and People Management
o Manage and implement web content strategy and migration as part of a large organizational-wide website redesign project for RedCrossBlood.org.
o Serve as the POC and project manager for content migration and multilanguage translation requirements, as well as being hands-on in the implementation and optimization before, during, and after launch.
o Develop and manage content-related project milestones, timelines, resources, and requirements when implementing content into new frameworks.
o Provide data and analytics to support content strategy decisions and organizational needs when considering user journeys, page components, SEO, and web best practices.
o Assist with content migration from one CMS into the next and complete content QA with a focus on the multilingual experience.
o Drive innovation and optimization, many times serve as a project manager, across both web and app platforms for items like web journeys (deep linking) and additional content and component enhancements.
o Serve as accessibility lead and liaison performing regular content audits to ensure the site remains accessible to all visitors.
2. Content Strategy and Management
o In partnership with marketing and engagement teams, craft compelling web and app content that drives engagement and conversions supporting blood product donations and lead generation efforts.
o Own and manage all web and in-app content requests and processes as part of the larger content strategy for RedCrossBlood.org and Blood Donor App.
o Implementing web and app content requests via Adobe Experience Manager (CMS), with a focus on Spanish and multilanguage, and bringing them to life via the web and app.
o Oversee the creative and copy development of promotional areas of web and app including the web homepage banners and mobile app promo areas.
o Responsible for running continuous web and app tests that provide clear insights to help direct content strategy and drive donation appointments.
3. Data Analysis and Optimization
o Responsible for analyzing and reporting, in partnership with other teams, web performance metrics including assessing engagement, lead generation, conversion rates and SEO performance for campaigns and across the blood product donor experience.
o Translate analytic insights into recommended optimizations for content, collaborating with the digital engagement team to establish KPIs and create reporting dashboards for continuous insights.
4. Cross Functional Training & Documentation
o Train stakeholders on processes and best practices for digital content.
o Develop efficient processes and documentation to help guide large groups of stakeholders through the content request and implementation process.
What You Need To Succeed
1. 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in communications, English or equivalent field required.
2. Minimum 6-10 years of related experience.
3. Demonstrated experience working in digital marketing with a focus on web/digital content and experience.
4. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
5. Strong teamwork, collaboration, and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
7. Must perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.
8. Travel will be required – up to 20%.
