Management Accountant - Qualified/FinalistManufacturingMerthyr Tydfil, Wales An exciting opportunity to be part of a growing organisation, for an experienced Management Accountant to support their UK locations, you will have broad responsibilities and be a strategic member of the Finance Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accounting of a number of entities and have the ability to support ongoing development and optimisation of company processes and procedures. This role reports directly to the UK Financial Controller. Responsibilities Take responsibility for the general ledger accounting entries. Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly reconciliations for general ledger accounts, sub-ledgers, stock and Bank. Prepare journal entries for month end, and corrections. Ensure timely and accurate closing of the books. Producing P&L Accounts with commentary and variance analysis. Acting as a Finance Business Partner to work with operational colleagues, reviewing costs and margins. Responsible for developing and maintaining cost accounting system Understand production processes to produce Costings. Produce Sales and Margin Analysis reports. Cashflow Forecasting. Vat Returns UK&I Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Support finance and business teams with ad hoc analysis or reports. Actively involved in planned projects, including an ERP implementation. Actively involved in developing and implementing process improvements. Working closely with UK Financial Controller and deputise in meetings when required. Assist in documenting procedures and process. Assist with stock counting at year end where required. Mentoring a small finance team. Experience ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified Demonstrable experience in a similar role Highly analytical and technically strong Strong IT skills including MS Excel and ERP systems Hands on, team player and ability to communicate effectively Demonstrable process improvement skills Stakeholder management A growing company offering a competitive salary, progression, benefits and a great work culture
