Clinical Informatics Architecture Leader
Job Description
The Clinical Informatics Architecture Leader leads the architecture and digital transformation of Clinical Informatics SaaS solutions, driving innovation, scalability, and seamless customer experiences. This role will contribute to the business strategy of scaling clinical informatics via digital transformation and will team up with other informatics businesses to ensure the right architecture, development, and deployment of integrated propositions to deliver a seamless SaaS experience to our customers. The Clinical Informatics Architecture Leader will drive integrated diagnostics, AI strategy as part of the role, as well as directly interfacing with customers.
Your role:
* Shape and execute the strategy for scaling Clinical Informatics through digital transformation, ensuring the development and deployment of integrated SaaS propositions that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with informatics teams and stakeholders to define software architecture roadmaps, manage trade-offs, and create future-proof solutions that enhance customer experience and business growth.
* Drive architecture development, platform implementation, and lifecycle management while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
* Lead architecture decision-making, oversee software evolution, and contribute to Philips' global architecture community through best practices and training initiatives.
* Measure success through key performance indicators such as time-to-market efficiency, architecture alignment, business case value, and overall system scalability.
Key performance indicators
* Timely definition of architecture: Example: Time to Market
* No time overrun in development due to architecting
* Fit to key requirements: Example: Number of change requests on architecture
* Future-proof and externally looking roadmaps, anticipating changes. Examples: Extensibility, scalability
* Enabling relevant business-related KPI’s Examples: profitability, TTM
* Value of the business case (on architecture level)
* Alignment with the overall Philips reference architecture
* Cross-unit / business contribution
You're the right fit if, you have:
* Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* At least 15+ years in software development, with at least 5 years in product integration and solutions development.
* Proven expertise in SaaS solution development, distributed systems, and multiple technology domains.
* Deep knowledge of healthcare systems, standards, compliance, and regulations (e.g., FDA).
* Strong architectural thinking, digital and technical savvy, and strategic mindset.
* Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
* Experience in driving scalable and extensible software architectures.
* Passion for innovation in healthcare technology.
* Willingness to mentor and contribute to Philips' global architecture community.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. On-site roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations. This role is an office role.
