Forbes of Kingennie Resort have much to offer visitors of all ages, whether looking for pure relaxation or activity-packed holidays in Scotland. We are the ideal touring base, being virtually at the geographical ‘hub’ of Scotland in Angus near Dundee and Tayside, with the most extraordinary variety of wonderful scenery on our doorstep. What will you be doing? Within our country resort, we host an excellent restaurant, and it would be your responsibility to provide the best support possible, to the wider Kitchen Team. You will be carrying out food preparation tasks, and ensuring the kitchen operates at maximum efficiency. We have a fantastic team, and whilst this role might not necessarily be customer facing, you may have interactions with customers, so the ideal candidate shall have strong interpersonal skills, to maintain our reputation. This will also help you build relationships across the business, to ensure smooth communication. As the Kitchen Porter, you will be involved in basic food preparation duties, which will include chopping/cutting, peeling and washing of food items. You will also be required to ensure that the kitchen and surrounding areas are always maintained to a high standard, which includes cleaning dishes, workstations and floors, and monitoring stock levels for cleaning products, so organisational skills are key for the role. Health and safety is a huge part of our culture, and is an important aspect of this role. We expect you to demonstrate safe use of equipment, and that safe systems of work are adhered to, on a daily basis. Full Time and Part Time roles available (between 16 – 40 hours). Experience within a similar role is desirable, however, not considered essential. A full job description is available on request. What we offer?
