Job summary An opportunity has arisen to recruit a 16-month fixed term Programme Manager to join the Gloucestershire Hospitals Foundation Trust's Strategy and Transformation Team. The Programme Manager will be expected to support the Associate Director Estates in the delivery of strategic and transformational changes that support excellent care, supporting with projects and change initiatives. In delivering the 'best care for everyone', the post-holder is expected to work closely with all other members of the Trust's clinical, management and nursing teams, as well as with staff providing estates and facilities functions within Gloucestershire Managed Service (GMS) and other stakeholders across the healthcare community. Main duties of the job The post-holder will: - - Need to gain immediate credibility with clinical and operational leaders, as well as teams, developing and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels. - Need to demonstrate the vision and experience of being able to deliver transactional improvement whilst considering the design and implementation of transformational ways of working in parallel. - Need to quickly gain an understanding of clinical pathways and operational processes to assist stakeholders in taking maximum advantage of any investment and realise its benefits. - Have the ability and experience to deliver transformational change from design through to benefit realisation, using a range of service improvement and change management tools and techniques. - Undertake management of statutory meetings required under HTMs, including agreement on meeting content, derogation processes, annual work-plans, action planning and Trust escalation. - Undertake management of operational issues that arise in order to liaise between Trust staff and GMS - Support the Associate Director Estates in managing the Trust aspects of the PFI contract, including planning for hand-over - Fulfil role of Programme Manager for projects relating to Estates and Facilities: this may be construction projects, facilities projects, equipment projects and so on. On occasions, there will also be involvement in projects where the post-holder is not the Programme Manager but represents the Trust directly.
