Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Architectural Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing and developing architectural projects, working closely with architects and engineers to produce high-quality drawings and schematics. This position requires proficiency in various architectural software and a keen eye for detail to ensure that all designs meet client specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare detailed architectural drawings and schematics using software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and ArchiCAD.
2. Collaborate with architects and other team members to develop design concepts and solutions.
3. Create 3D models and visualisations using Sketchup and Rhinoceros 3D to present ideas effectively.
4. Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project requirements.
5. Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including specifications and reports.
6. Ensure compliance with building regulations and standards throughout the design process.
7. Provide support during the construction phase by reviewing drawings for accuracy and resolving any issues that arise.
8. Utilise graphic design skills to enhance presentations and project proposals.
Experience
1. Proficiency in architectural software including AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArchiCAD, Sketchup, Rhinoceros 3D, and SolidWorks is essential.
2. Experience in producing schematics and detailed drawings for various types of projects is highly desirable.
3. A background in graphic design will be considered an asset.
4. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
6. A degree in architecture.
Additional Information
The candidate will work from the communal working area and needs to provide their own laptop with AutoCAD/DWG Software.
First month will be unpaid, and then £600 per month. Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm. You do have an hour lunch break.
