The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Programme Director for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract to be accountable for the successful completion of a significant aircraft modification programme of work. The role will provide the leadership, management, and direction to both Draken and key supplier teams to ensure the programme is delivered within the defined time and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver the programme to agreed time, cost and quality parameters.
* Direct the organisation, planning, and estimating of short, medium and long-term milestones and lead the programme resources to deliver.
* Manage and motivate the cross-functional Integrated Programme Team (IPT).
* Ensure risks and issues are managed proactively.
* Lead and role model effective and open communication throughout the IPT and with stakeholders.
* Manage relationships with key supplier personnel.
* Ensure team is able to effectively track, update and report progress and variance.
* Drive a high performance and continuous improvement culture to ensure all opportunities are identified, evaluated and implemented to drive further benefit to the programme.
* Be able to direct, lead and coach teams, individuals and supplier resources in a complex programme environment.
* Put in place ways of working for the programme to encourage an open and transparent approach to management of plans, risks and opportunities.
* Help sponsors and stakeholders to understand and fulfil their role in successfully delivering the programme.
* Tailor and apply best practice processes and tools to meet the needs of the programme and the IPT.
* Continuously assess and take the initiative to improve the effectiveness of processes across the programme.
