We are helping a school based in Hackney recruit for a Computer Science/ICT Teacher. The school is an all through Pupil Referral Unit supporting students up to the age of 16 years old who are unable to attend mainstream schools. They aim to help learners overcome their barriers to learning, which may be about improving their behaviour or some other aspects of their learning.
The role is to teach Key Stage 3 & Key Stage 4 Computer Science/ICT and is for three days a week.
The ICT/Computer Science Teacher must:
1. Have successfully undertaken teacher training (this role is not suitable for unqualified teachers)
2. Hold QTS or QTLS (or be within their four year allowance as an overseas trained teacher)
3. Have experience teaching ICT, Computer Science or both.
4. Have excellent behaviour & classroom management skills and be resilient.
