An opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker to join The Isle of Man’s MASH Service (Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub). The successful Social Worker will work within a fast paced multi agency co located team, assessing contact and referrals regarding children aged 0-18. You will provide a high quality and effective social work service to respond to the needs of children and their families in a timely manner and within statutory guidelines. You will source and collate information from a range of sources.

As a Social Worker within this team, you will be responsible for:
* Develop and maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
* The MASH Social worker is responsible for interpreting and sharing information that is necessary to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
* Through liaison, dialogue and searching of data bases collect and collate relevant information to add the multi agency risk assessment.
* Record, interpret and present Social Care information and issues that may impact on the risk or needs of the young person.
* Explain clearly, and with sound rationale, sometimes complex information to a wide range of professionals and families.
* Participate in the MASH information sharing to inform management of the case and where appropriate be able to present challenge.
* Identify service gaps or issues relating to service pathways
Escalate evidence of inappropriate, referrals to the service and ineffective safeguarding arrangements
* Immediate report to team manager/and or group manager where issues require immediate escalation or the case is likely to become subject to press or public interest.
What we are looking for in a Social Worker:
* Social Work England registration
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Hold a full UK license
* Post-qualified experience
* Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
