This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are ready to advance their career within the automotive industry.\n\nThe Modern Apprenticeship Programmes allow apprentices to work full time and earn while they learn putting theory into practice within a training environment.\n\nAs well as attending the training centre for week block release of training, regular assessment and reviews will be undertaken within the apprentice's own workplace which aims to ensure they have the required skills to successfully complete their apprenticeship.\n\nWhat Might a Typical Day in this Job look like?\n\nThe Vehicle Paintwork Repair apprenticeship provides prospective paintwork technicians with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out the role of a modern vehicle paint technician. \n\nExamples of the units covered are: \n\nContributing to housekeeping \nReducing risks to health and safety \nMaintaining working relationships \nPreparing metal and pre-painted surfaces \nEstablishing defects on motor vehicles \nSpot repair on motor vehicles \nCarrying out blend/fade out repair \nEdge to edge repair \nMixing and matching colours for motor vehicles \nAdvanced colour matching for motor vehicles Regular assessment and reviews will be undertaken within the apprentice's own workplace which aims to ensure they have the required skills to successfully complete their apprenticeship.\n\nYou will train through GTG to SCQF Level 6 in Vehicle Refinishing. You must have or expect to gain National 4 or above in English, Maths, and either a Science or Technical Subject.
