Goose & Berry are an award-winning Catering & Events company who specialise in weddings, corporate and social events around the Bucks/Berks area and beyond. As the team is growing, we are now seeking an Office Manager!
You will need to be highly organised, detail-focused, professional, and an excellent communicator. You will be at the heart of our business and will play a pivotal role in helping our operation run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure smooth day-to-day running of the Goose & Berry office.
2. Manage and maintain office cleanliness at all times.
3. Dealing with repairs, improvements, and supporting building projects.
4. Monitoring staff arrivals.
5. Monitoring cleaning rota and working with our cleaners.
6. General office administration: filing, printing, and tidying.
7. Management of Office and Event diary.
8. Booking meetings and updating office diary accordingly.
9. Adding holiday to office diary and team members' leave to sales spreadsheet.
10. Regular van inspections and escalating any cleaning, maintenance, or repairs.
11. Keep inventory lists up to date and run regular cost comparisons on kit and consumables.
12. Upload and manage invoice reconciliation.
13. Update costings spreadsheet with kitchen and event spends.
14. Enter payments onto sales spreadsheet.
15. Arrange staff birthday, anniversary, and staff social events.
16. Support new starters with IT setup, general housekeeping, contract setup, and health and safety standards.
17. Manage staffing for events, including emailing and booking in staff as per the calendar.
18. First point of contact for MD with any personal requirements.
Skills/Experience Required
1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to liaise at all levels.
2. Strong admin skills are paramount.
3. Enthusiastic self-starter.
4. Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
5. Able to keep calm under pressure and prioritise accordingly.
6. Critical thinker with a problem-solving attitude.
7. Accuracy and attention to detail.
8. Work well as part of a team and under own initiative.
9. Experience within events desirable but not essential.
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
