To support its ambitious plans for market growth, digital innovation, and strategic acquisitions, the organisation is seeking an accomplished and dynamic Group Financial Controller. This high-profile leadership position is central to refining and advancing the finance function while driving financial excellence, governance, and transformational change.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead group financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
* Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with reporting standards.
* Establish and enforce robust internal control frameworks, policies, and procedures covering budget accounting, cash flow, credit management, and administrative functions.
* Drive financial transformation initiatives and collaborate with global markets to enhance processes and implement system improvements.
* Develop, maintain, and ensure adherence to a structured system of accounting policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and maintain financial accuracy.
* Implement tools and methodologies to identify, analyse, and resolve financial discrepancies.
* Oversee the structure and operations of the accounting department to enhance efficiency and align with business objectives.
* Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and statutory regulations through continuous monitoring and governance.
* Manage the financial consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely issuance of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP.
* Lead the financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, onboarding, and seamless integration.
* Oversee purchase price allocations and coordinate with external auditors and valuation specialists.
* Drive change management initiatives and enhance financial processes to support long-term business growth and scalability.
The Ideal Candidate
* ACA qualified (trained in practice) with a strong foundation in accounting and financial reporting.
* Extensive experience in group-level finance within international businesses with complex financial structures.
* Proven track record in multi-entity consolidations at scale, managing the intricacies of large, complex organisations.
* Hands-on experience with balance sheet reconciliation, month-end close, and audit processes.
* Experience in PE environments, preferably within supply chain, industrial or manufacturing sectors.
* Strong M&A integration experience, including due diligence and post-acquisition financial structuring.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making.
