What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a Design Manager and Artworker to join our in-house Brand and Creative Team. We produce a lot of work in-house, from our packaging to content, campaigns and everything in between. With a hunger to be bigger and bolder than ever before, we are now on the hunt for a brilliant Design Manager to be the glue that makes our Creative Studio run smoothly as well as being able to put their own stamp on our print assets across multiple touchpoints.
This person will be an incredibly organised individual with proven project management skills – passionate about making everything the best it can possibly be. They’ll be a natural problem solver and have a passion for design as well as being an excellent relationship builder.
Job requirements
Responsibilities of the role include:
1. Creative Brief Management: Monitoring, reviewing, and filtering all creative briefs, ensuring they are clear and concise.
2. Project Management: Oversee the entire design process from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
3. Planning and monitoring resources: Oversee workflow, book in freelancers and agency support where necessary, liaising with Head of Brand to escalate any concerns.
4. Creative Studio Management: Maximise the Creative Team’s workload efficiency by streamlining processes.
5. EPD/NPD: Work closely with the Product and Marketing team to support the development of packaging and launch assets for EPD and NPD, managing and communicating creative work streams within innovation critical paths.
6. Packaging: Manage the packaging artwork approval process from artwork through to production, liaising with Technical and external approvers.
7. Toolkits: Delivery and implementation of activation and shopper marketing tool kits.
8. Contract Management: Manage all contributor and talent contracts, negotiating terms, usage and budgets.
9. Sourcing and third-party relationships: Source, manage, and negotiate with production partners, maintaining strong relationships with all external print partners and suppliers.
10. Budgeting: Creative budget planning and tracking.
11. Brand Guidelines: Implement and maintain brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all creative outputs.
12. Design: Create compelling visuals for marketing campaigns and promotions, including POS assets, banners, email templates, and paid social ads.
13. End-to-End Design Execution: Develop and deliver standout design concepts that reflect MOJU’s brand identity across digital, print, packaging.
14. File Management: Organise and manage artwork files, ensuring they are easily accessible and up-to-date.
15. Proof Checking: Review and verify the quality of print proofs for external print runs.
16. Print Preparation: Ensure designs are optimised for print, considering colour profiles, resolutions, and other technical requirements.
What you’ll bring to MOJU
Great organisation skills, a methodical approach, and a meticulous eye for detail. Industry experience in a similar role. Confident liaising with stakeholders, making decisions, and escalating problems or project blockers. Understanding of the print/production process across media (including packaging). Understanding of design specifications. A solid knowledge of Adobe CC Suite, especially Photoshop & Illustrator. Experience with Facebook/Instagram advertising, with a deep understanding of key success factors for effective social advertising. Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously. An understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices. The ability to multi-task while working to deadlines, whilst maintaining a professional approach. Ability to contribute to strategic creative direction while remaining hands-on with the day-to-day production of design assets.
