Your role and responsibilities
As Clinical Director, you will be responsible for the overall leadership of the practices and will work to drive forward clinical services, commercial performance, and team development. You will have a passion for delivering the best possible service and outcomes for patients, clients, and associates.
Your role at City Vets will be an exciting and varied one. You will be responsible for line managing the lead vets and senior leadership team at the practices. Your clinical work will have a mixture of in-patient care time, surgery, and consultations, and you will have the opportunity for case continuity and to build great rapport with our lovely clients. We are keen to support specific interests, especially if you are working towards or currently hold a certificate relevant to small animal primary care practice.

About Us
City Vets is a modern, fully equipped, RCVS-accredited 4-branch practice setting the standards for first opinion work in the area. Our priorities lie in client and patient care whilst ensuring that our staff are happy and well cared for with a healthy work-life balance.
Our Heavitree site hosts an exotic ward along with surgical and imaging facilities including an onsite CT scanner. This ensures that City Vets is equipped to accept a wide variety of cases for both companion animals and exotics and small mammals.
Our nursing team are progressive in their support of the veterinary team, leading on imaging, lump removal and stage 1 dental scale and polishes.
Two of the three branches are fully equipped to meet most small animal needs and ran by equally experienced and enthusiastic associates, who enjoy providing care local to their branch for patient and clients alike. Our third branch is close to the Heavitree site and provides consultation and nursing services local to the Whipton community.
All our surgeries are accredited as Cat Friendly Clinics by the International Society of Feline Medicine, varying from Bronze at Whipton to Gold at Heavitree. Additionally, St Thomas have the Silver Rabbit Welfare Association & Fund Standard (RWAF) and Heavitree is a Gold Standard RWAF practice.
We also work closely with the Guide Dog Association helping to care for training and qualified dogs, Blue Cross, and Cats Protection neutering programs.
As part of Linnaeus we have great support and career framework in place, development is there for the taking in terms of both clinical and leadership skills and experience from our range of practices, referral hospitals and wider Mars Veterinary Health companies.
