The Organisation. Nigel Wright are delighted to be supporting a growing academy trust who manage a number of schools across the North East. This organisation who are a growing portfolio of schools that they manage, from all aspects of facilities management through to new build projects to improve the assets and facilities of the schools within the group, and due to the increase of workload they are looking to appoint a Senior Facilities Manager to join them on an initial two year fixed term contract. The Opportunity. Reporting to the Head of Estates, this role will take responsibility for the facilities management teams across a number of their sites and will be responsible for repairs and maintenance management, porter and cleaning services. You will manage the catering and waste management as well as energy and fleet management. You will take full responsibility for all FM related contracts, provide advice and guidance on current and upcoming legislation. You will work with a wider team across the organisation including the Health and Safety Manage to ensure HSE standards are developed and adhered to from a facilities perspective. You will manage and monitor all FM activities across the sites you are responsible for to ensure problems are resolved and you will work with the wider senior leadership teams of each property to ensure service quality levels remain high and any issues are responded to and dealt with accordingly. As part of this role you will support on the delivery of the capital projects and refurbishment programmes and manage contractor relationships accordingly. What you need to succeed. To succeed in this role you will be an experienced Facilities Manager, who has operated across a number of sites managing soft and hard services ideally within a educational environment. You will have demonstrated your ability to understand and manage facilities management from both a statutory and good practice view and have strong people management skills with the ability to lead and develop teams across a number of different functions. You will be highly IT literate with strong presentation skills and be able to work closely with a senior leadership team. Working to tight deadlines you will be able be able to problem solve and operate within a busy and demanding environment. Due to the nature of this role you will a full UK Driving Licence and be able to operate across the full North East from Northumberland to Teesside.
