RM Recruit are working with a South Birmingham based membership body to recruit an Interim Financial Controller for their team. This is a crucial role within the organisation and, reporting to the Finance Director, the role is key in maintaining the day to day activities of the finance function and providing support to a range of budget holders.
Your remit will include, but not be limited to:
* Supervision of the Finance Team, providing advice and training to all members of the finance team ensuring their understanding the controls and processes relevant to their area of responsibility
* Responsible for the production of monthly management and financial accounts for the organisation and its subsidiaries conducting analysis and scrutinising figures.
* Final review and authorisation of all external payments e.g. Supplier payment runs, Payroll BACS payments
* Ensuring that all statutory and organisational financial requirements for the organisation and all subsidiaries are fully complied with at all times
* Advising key stakeholders by providing information, advice & guidance to ensure effective decision making
* Ensuring the finance team deliver informative financial reports, including budgets, budget monitoring reports, commentaries and financial statements which are timely and accurate;
