Job summary
Our MHSTs pride themselves on their creative and innovative approach to improving the mental health of Children and Young People, as well as developing the skill and confidence of Education Staff to identify and address these difficulties as early as possible. The Hull and East Riding MHST will sit within a Children's Division so it is expected the successful candidates will work to create a cohesive pathway to support children, young people and families across a pathway which delivers emotional and mental health support interfacing with school nursing through to core and crisis CAMHS. The successful candidate must be a team player, with excellent management and leadership skills. They should be able to support teams of individuals working in early intervention service delivering emotional and mental health support. This will include Child Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners and MSHT for Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide leadership and guidance to a team of mental health practitioners within educational settings.
2. Coordinate and support the delivery of a range of Whole School Approach activities within education settings.
3. Develop and implement mental health programs and interventions tailored to the unique needs of students and educational staff.
4. Conduct assessments and provide individual and group therapy to students dealing with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
5. Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, leadership teams and parents / carers to create a supportive and inclusive mental health framework.
6. Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in mental health and education.
7. Offer training and professional development to education staff

Job responsibilities
The Service Manager will support the development of the MHST initiative within Humber TFT under the direction of the General Manager.
The Service Manager will work closely with the senior mental health leads in schools and the other Service Managers in the children's division to ensure a whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing.
The Service Manager will be responsible for the management & supervision of the Team Leaders to ensure the service delivery of rapid access to low intensity, evidence-based interventions, for mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
The Service Manager will develop the offer of MHST to new areas as funding become available to additional schools.
The Service manager will work collaboratively with strategic partners and education staff to build a successful system of support in emotional and mental health for children and young people.
