As a Trainee Finance Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head of Finance in delivering exceptional financial services across the Trust. Key responsibilities include:
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts and reports.
• Support the processing of invoices, receipts, and payments, including liaising with suppliers.
• Assist with the reconciliation of the Trust bank accounts.
• Help maintain accurate dynamic financial records to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Assist with budget preparation and monitoring, leveraging automation tools to enhance efficiency.
• Support the Head of Finance in financial planning, analysis and strategic decision-making.
• Participate in audits and assist with audit preparation.
• Provide administrative support to the finance team as required.
• Explore opportunities to modernise financial processes, incorporating AI and automation where possible.
• Attend training sessions and workshops to develop finance and technology-driven skills.

Further details about the role
This role is based at the Trust’s central office in the Port of Liverpool Building, but we offer flexibility to work remotely. The role also requires travel to the schools, when needed. We are keen to understand how this role could work for you and are open to consider flexible working options.
