Purpose of the role
To ensure that Heidelberg Materials products are delivered to customers in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner. To ensure that the professional standards of the company are always upheld. To ensure that all aspects of Health and Safety, Working Time Directive, Road Transport Law, and Company procedures are applied as part of the daily routine.
Key accountabilities
* Ensure the vehicle and all equipment entrusted to him/her is properly maintained, kept in a clean condition, and that all vehicle records are correctly maintained as required by the current legislation and company procedures.
* Comply with the relevant company personnel and administration policies and procedures.
* Ensure that all Health and Safety, Working Time Directive, and Road Transport regulatory requirements are followed.
* Ensure that all waste disposals, water discharges, and dust emissions are dealt with in accordance with the Environmental procedures.
* Carry out deliveries in the most cost-effective, efficient, and courteous manner. Ensure that attendance to the operating unit is timely and consistent with meeting the requirements of the company.
* Perform any other relevant duties as requested by Management.
Education/Qualification
* Cat C heavy goods license LGV - HGV2
