Procurement Manager - £43k-£46k Middleton Ready to take charge of supply chains, procurement, and drive a growing manufacturing business to the next level? We’re looking for a Procurement Manager to help steer our operations in line with ambitious growth plans over the next 3–5 years. Based in the heart of the UK’s engineering industry, this is a role that demands strategic thinking, hands-on problem-solving, and a knack for turning data into action. What You’ll Be Doing This role is as varied as it is vital. Here’s what your days will involve: Suppliers Identifying, qualifying, and onboarding new suppliers to keep us ahead on cost, quality, risk, and delivery. Evaluating supplier performance and continuously managing the portfolio to ensure it meets our growing demands. Procurement Negotiating contracts, payment terms, and creating agreements that benefit the business. Managing supplier compliance in contracts, logistics, and specifications. Operations Overseeing inventory, warehousing, transportation, and ERP system operations. Driving order fulfilment and minimising stock levels while avoiding obsolescence and excess. Demand Planning & Forecasting Controlling scheduling and forecasting to support future demand. Implementing Kan Bans and replenishment cycles to achieve cost efficiency and stock availability. Continuous Improvement & Management Developing internal purchasing processes across departments to ensure compliance with governance. Monitoring global markets to secure competitive pricing. Managing people, driving KPIs, and embedding data-led continuous improvement into everything you do. What We’re Looking For We need someone who knows how to make things happen: Experience: Either already a Procurement Manager or a Senior Buyer ready for the step up. Sector Background: Manufacturing or Engineering experience is essential. Leadership Skills: Previous experience managing a team is essential. Qualifications: CIPS qualified or significant Supply Chain management expertise. Proven Impact: A track record of delivering cost savings, process improvements, and strategic results.
