Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic individual, who thrives in a busy environment to join our Support Worker team within the Bed Management Team.
You will be a part of a team that provides safe and efficient patient transfer across the hospital. It is vital you have a positive approach to helping both staff and patients, and want to provide the best journey possible through our hospitals.
This role is not hands-on clinical care, and is split between providing a portering service across the hospital. In addition, making patients feel safe and have the knowledge of what is happening/why they are moving, and stocking equipment required for delivering patient care effectively.
Main Duties of the Job
Working as a Support Worker, you would be providing portering, administrative, and domestic services, ensuring that patients are moved to the clinical areas in a timely manner. This role covers both Long Day and Night shifts over a seven-day week, which includes bank holidays.

Job Responsibilities
* Ensuring the timely transfer of patients from CDU to the base wards or discharge lounge to expedite the patient flow across the hospital site.
* Assisting with transportation of patients across the hospital site.
* Assisting with transportation of patients to and from the imaging department.
* Safe transportation of patients within the hospital setting.
* To facilitate the smooth running of all administrative and clerical processes and procedures associated with the running of the department.
