Job Overview
Ward C3 at North Manchester General Hospital of Manchester University NHS Trust is a general medical ward, seeking experienced Band 5's or previous Band 6 experience to join our team as a Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.
We seek an individual who is efficient, enthusiastic, highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work in our general medical ward. A calm, diplomatic and caring approach and a commitment to provide high quality, safe and effective care is essential. You will be joining our friendly and dynamic multidisciplinary team with excellent standards and great work ethic.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the assessment of patient care needs and development, devising, implementing and evaluating programmes of care, both for a specific group of patients as the named care provider and in supporting the care of all patients.
As a Sister / Charge Nurse you will provide daily clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and support staff in the delivery of evidence based practice.
Actively support the Ward / Unit Manager in the effective running of the department including in their absence.
