Role Overview
* Reporting to the New Business Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for producing clear and high-quality responses to client ITT- and PQQ-stage requests, supporting the marketing function of the business, as well as managing daily portal and client notifications.
Responsibilities
* Develop high-quality, project-specific written content for client ITT and PQQ / EOI requests using persuasive writing techniques.
* Customise and re-work existing pre-written content to meet specific bid requirements.
* Ensure compliance with required proposal deliverables, scoring metrics, and solution/win themes while achieving internal and client deadlines.
* Support internal bid submission processes, including booking and participating in bid launch and mid-bid meetings, as well as site visits.
* Organise and participate in writing sessions with bid and operational team members, key stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
* Produce accurate, relevant case studies and undertake visits to live sites (where required) to gather appropriate information.
* Extract tender documents and update the bid library regularly.
* Receive, process, record, and track all incoming tenders and alerts.
* Support communication and logging of the clarifications process.
* Take ownership of internal tender/outcome tracking systems, including the CRM system (Monday.com).
* Maintain all tendering/response/compliance portals with up-to-date company information/documents.
* Gather and maintain information relevant to company accreditations and update the portals in advance of expiry dates.
* Support the marketing function of the business.
* Attend business events, including client and soft marketing engagements for upcoming bids, if required.
* Perform any other duties as reasonably required.
Skills and Knowledge
* Experience in a Bid Assistant role.
* Knowledge of a construction bid/procurement or business development environment is preferable.
* Experience working within similar sectors/organisations.
* The ability to work as both a team member and independently when required.
* Experience using Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Understanding of Adobe applications, including InDesign and Adobe Pro.
* Experience supporting company accreditation updates (CHAS, Constructionline).
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Exceptional verbal and written English with a keen eye for detail.
