Arranging Support Administration Officer
Role Responsibility
A vacancy has arisen within the Arranging Support Hospital Discharge Team. The Hospital Team is responsible for coordinating and managing services for people moving out of hospital, covering both residential and nursing placements and community services.
You will be required to offer administrative support; this will include using a client system database, communicating with providers and the people we support or their representatives either by phone, letter, or email. You will track placements, generate purchase orders, and ensure providers have been paid.
We are looking for someone with an understanding of the needs of vulnerable adults, good IT and office skills, attention to detail, and the ability to organise work and meet deadlines. You will also need excellent communication skills, be able to work as part of a busy team, and work independently from home.
We are currently working mainly from home, but the post holder would be required to work in the office on occasion with other members of the administration team due to tasks required of the role and at other times with the full team.
This role is to provide an administrative support service to the Arranging Support Hospital Discharge Team, who are responsible for arranging services for vulnerable adults. You will assist in the smooth running of the service, working in partnership with Locality Teams and Health. You will act as the main point of contact for the team, manage the mailbox, investigate complex queries and simple complaints, assess the nature of telephone calls, and refer them to the appropriate person without referral to the line manager where possible. You will ensure that staff, individuals, and anyone who contacts the team are dealt with efficiently and consistently. You will be triaging referrals and allocating work appropriately, accurately updating trackers and individual information as required on relevant systems.
We offer full training, support, and regular supervision.
This post is for a 1-year contract.
