What you'll do as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant:
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special needs
Implement tailored learning plans and adapted teaching materials
Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
Monitor student progress
Collaborate with teachers and parents
What you need to be as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant:
Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children (essential)
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility and creativity to adapting to student needs
Experience with special educational needs (desirable, not essential)
We work with schools around Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Crowborough and East Grinstead supporting children with a range of needs such as:
Autism
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Social Emotional Mental Health Needs
Speech, Language and Communication Needs
Profound, Severe, and Moderate Learning Disabilities
Complex Medical Needs
Physical Disabilities
Pupil Referral Units
Complex Neurological Conditions
Information on the Special Needs Teaching Assistant role:
Location- Tunbridge Wells, Kent
Pay- £85-100 per day. This is equivalent to £425-£500 per week Full-Time. Day rate is dependent on qualifications and experience.
Hours- 8.30am-3.30pm Monday-Friday. Full-time and part-time positions available
Contract- day-to-day, short-term, long-term, and permanent positions available
Year- Key Stages 1-5 (Years 1-13 ages 4-19)
Qualifications- GCSE Maths and English Grade C or Level 5 and above.
