So why not join us at FPSM and be part of something bigger… What you’ll do as a Director of Finance Control The Director of Financial Control (18 Month Fixed Term Contract) will oversee key financial control and reporting functions, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial operations during the maternity cover period. This critical leadership role is responsible for managing treasury operations, financial reporting, technical accounting, and the integration of new businesses into finance operations. The role requires strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and hands-on experience in financial control, reporting, and consolidation processes. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership and development Lead and mentor a dynamic team that includes accountants, controllers and analysts, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams, procurement manager. Ensure the smooth execution of all finance processes and adherence to deadlines. Provide guidance on best practices in financial operations and controls. Treasury Management Oversee daily treasury operations and ensure efficient cash management. Prepare and closely monitor cash flow forecasts, ensuring liquidity needs are met. Manage financial covenants and relationships with banking partners. Consolidation and Technical Accounting Oversee group-level financial consolidation processes. Lead Purchase Price Allocation (PPA) accounting activities. Address and resolve complex technical accounting issues and provide recommendations to senior management. Audit and Compliance Lead and coordinate the annual audit process, acting as the primary contact for external auditors. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls. Financial Close and Reporting Manage the month-end closing process, ensuring all reconciliations, journals, and adjustments are completed on time. Deliver accurate external reporting to shareholders and investors in compliance with established timelines and standards. Maintain responsibility for all technical accounting matters, including compliance with applicable financial standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP). Procurement and Operations Support Supervise procurement processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Partner with operational teams to integrate financial processes and align on budgetary controls. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Collaborate on M&A projects with a focus on financial operations, integration of financial systems, and alignment with actual results. Support the financial integration of new businesses, ensuring a seamless transition into existing financial operations. Your Skillset: Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA). Extensive experience in a senior financial control role, ideally within a multinational or complex corporate environment. Demonstrated success in managing treasury, technical accounting, financial consolidations, and external reporting. Experience with M&A transactions and integrating financial systems and processes. Strong understanding of ERP systems and financial tools.
