HR Manager - Manufacturing - Cookstown

MCS group are excited to be working with a growing manufacturing company, recruiting for an HR Manager to join their dynamic team.
Overview
As HR Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out all HR functions, in line with wider business goals and strategies. In this standalone role, you will have the opportunity to continue improving company performance and employee experience through HR processes.
The main responsibilities
1. Take ownership of core HR administration, including onboarding and exit procedures, document management, and upkeep of employee information on the HRIS. Respond promptly and professionally to any related queries.
2. Drive end-to-end recruitment activity, from talent sourcing and candidate interviews to extending offers. Take charge of graduate and apprenticeship schemes, working closely with academic institutions to attract emerging talent.
3. Partner with leadership on talent strategy, helping to shape performance review frameworks, feedback cycles, and initiatives that boost staff development and improve retention rates.
4. Manage Learning & Development programmes, planning and delivering training in line with business goals. Coordinate with both in-house experts and external providers to support employee growth.
5. Deliver effective support in all areas of employee relations, including managing absence, resolving grievances, and advising teams on best practice and compliance with HR policies.
6. Support employee engagement and wellbeing, contributing to CSR efforts and internal initiatives that build a strong organisational culture and promote staff morale.
7. Collaborate with senior leaders on strategic HR initiatives, helping to implement key projects that align HR practices with broader company objectives and improve operational performance.
8. Identify skill gaps and workforce needs, recommending proactive recruitment or internal development solutions to ensure long-term capability planning.
The ideal candidate
1. Proven experience in a similar role within a relevant industry
2. CIPD certified or working towards accreditation
3. Degree in HR Management or a related field is advantageous
4. Competent in using HR systems and Microsoft Office tools
