This role is for a Business Analyst working in the Barclaycard Payment Services Architectural Design team. The team is made by a mix of Solution Architects and Business Analysts, who are directly accountable for the analysis, creation, review and acceptance of software and infrastructure designs. This role will mean you will deal with people in our Business Unit, and in multiple other areas of the wider Barclays group. As such we want a person who is a motivated self-starter, someone who can support other members of the team, as and when needed, through the design process, who will be able to influence and negotiate with other teams, gather information from various sources and then clearly and simply present complex information to a wide array of stakeholders. Please be aware we are a PCI-DSS compliant service, and that though we know not all have worked in this area it would be an advantage.
To be successful in this role, you should:
* Be able to capture and understand functional and non-functional requirements, and traceability of asks through A&D process.
* Be able to provide an effective planning and gap analysis.
* Possess stakeholder management skills.
Additional skills include:
* Understand differing delivery models – Agile, Kanban and Standups.
* C4 diagramming and other forms of visual presentation used in A&D process.
* An understanding of electronic payments, both customer present and not present.
This role is based out of our Fleet office.

Accountabilities
* Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation.
* Development of business requirements that will address business problems and opportunities.

* Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions.
* Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions.

* Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope.
* Support to change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.
