Data Protection Specialist Location: Southampton - Hybrid (3 days in office)A great opportunity to join a global leader in fund administration, managing private fund capital assets in offices across the U.S., Canada, UK, and Europe. Responsibilities: Maintain and update global Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) and monitor personal data flows. Review and manage client/vendor contractual clauses for data protection and international data transfers, ensuring compliance with regulatory updates. Draft and update templates, privacy statements, consent forms, data protection addenda, policies, and procedures for data governance. Conduct assessments, including Legitimate Interest Assessments, Data Protection Impact Assessments, and Transfer Impact Assessments. Support privacy-by-design due diligence for new projects and IT tools. Requirements:ESSENTIAL Must have a Law Degree; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum 4 years in privacy and data protection, preferably with a legal background. Strong understanding of regulations like GDPR, CCPA, and UK GDPR. Proficient using Microsoft systems. DESIRED: Certifications (e.g., IAPP) are a plus. Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
