Sessional Tutor/IQA
Hourly Rate: £24.40 for delivery
Hourly Rate: £18.56 for IQA
Working Pattern: Variable Hours as and when required, including weekends. Fixed term until 31 July 2025.
Location: Wentworth Castle, Barnsley, South Yorkshire
We are looking for Sessional Tutors and IQAs to join our growing team with qualifications and experience in the following teaching areas:
Counselling
Health & Social Care
Peer Mentoring
Education & Training
These roles will involve teaching adults on all aspects of Counselling, Health and Social Care including Adult Social Care, Social Proscribing, Mental Health and Psychology. Courses will be held on site in our unique college setting and at venues across the region.
Counselling – you will need experience of teaching Level 3 and Level 4 counselling qualifications together with vocational experience in Counselling, have or be working towards a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. Course delivery includes one weekend a month.
Health & Social Care - you will need to have up-to-date knowledge of the community and voluntary sector and community organisations that support social health and wellbeing work. There will be a particular focus on Mental Health and Learning Disabilities and Psychology.
Peer Mentoring - Delivering/assessing our peer mentoring provision.
Education & Training - Delivering/assessing the Award in Education and Training.
Key Responsibilities
To undertake the internal quality assurance of a range of qualifications in line with awarding body requirements.
Organise, plan, deliver and assess high quality teaching, learning and assessment on a variety of courses in line with the Education Inspection Framework and University requirements
Ensuring the successful completion, achievement and progression of all students in the curriculum area.
Ensure all IQA documentation is completed adhering to Awarding Organisation and college standards.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Proven recent experience in teaching delivery in relevant subject area/levels
A degree or Level 3 or 4 qualification in the relevant subject area, along with a level 5 teaching qualification.
English and Maths at level 2 or above
Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance Award
