Chief of Staff - Investment Family Office (Remote and visiting on site when required) £130 – 175k DOE depending on content and level of experience. Remote mainly with occasional visit to the City and Surrey. ACCA or similar qualification is needed.
The Principal is a highly respected and very likeable head of a successful international tech firm. This is a first-time hire and will grow over time.
Essential Qualifications:
1. Degree standard with a Family Office background or supporting an UHNW individual.
2. High level of administrative support and planning regarding personal investments & assets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Reporting directly to the Principal overseeing private investments & personal assets in the UK & worldwide.
2. Review and conduct due diligence on new and potential investment opportunities.
3. Manage the investment process and reporting.
4. Key point of contact with lawyers, banks, accountants, and other third parties.
5. Liaise with Accountant on tax matters regarding personal investments.
6. Conduct research on planned investments.
7. Read and review all pertinent information/documents regarding personal investments and assets.
8. Ensure timely management of all matters, prioritizing time-sensitive issues.
9. Keep an up-to-date electronic filing system of all private investments & legal matters.
10. Analyze content and provide a commercial view on private investment matters.
11. Monitor investment performance and provide regular updates.
12. Proof-read, distill, and summarize investment, banking, and legal documents.
13. Complete necessary regulatory requirements for donations, trusts, portfolios, and new investments.
14. Manage the Principal’s personal finances & expenditure and provide a monthly report.
15. Deal with all private insurances and obtain comparative quotes.
16. Assist with budgets and management of refurbishment works to family residences or property investments.
17. Create employment contracts for personal staff.
18. Manage & purchase all family transport.
19. Support with various ad-hoc requests.
20. Travel with the Principal on occasion when required.
21. Attend external meetings on behalf of the Principal if necessary.
