Job Title: Commercial Account Handler Location: Ferndown, Dorset On site / Full Time / Permanent Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 Job Summary: Join our dynamic commercial department, where you'll manage a diverse client portfolio and support Account Executives in delivering exceptional insurance solutions. Take charge of broking client business, handling renewals, new business, mid-term adjustments, and risk management. This is an exciting opportunity to proactively engage with clients, solve challenges, and make a real impact in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Key Responsibilities: To negotiate excellent policy terms on behalf of our clients using risk registers, gap analysis and professional presentations to Insurers. To work on all aspects of account management and service to clients, ensuring the client's needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards. To manage all day-to-day queries, mid-term adjustments, renewals and new business within agreed service standards. Managing workloads and prioritising work to ensure that both the business and the client's needs are met in a timely and accurate manner. To maintain customer records accurately and securely, in accordance with firm's own record keeping requirements and following data protection rules. To have a good understanding of the ever-evolving Insurance Market and using this knowledge to support both the business and clients to achieve their goals. Assisting the claims department with their duties and responsibilities when required What we're looking for: At least 2 years' experience working within the insurance industry, preferably as a handler with a commercial broker Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written. You will be IT proficient, able to work on your own and as part of a team, have strong negotiation skills, integrity and a desire to provide outstanding service to our clients. Cert CII qualified or working towards this level - full support will be given if required.
