About Our Opportunity:
We require a Procurement Specialist to join our team. The key requirement of this role is to ensure O&P UK Projects and the Assets have security of contracted services & materials provision at all times to support the ongoing Maintenance Programme, TAR programme & the site Capex demand.
The individual will be responsible for ensuring all services & materials are procured in compliance with O&P UK site standards, specifications & quality requirements whilst meeting the programme requirements of all TAR, Project and Maintenance demand.
Responsibilities include:
1. Developing procurement strategies through engaging relevant stakeholders and award of engineering services contracts to support the INEOS business that will achieve best value for the business, including partnering with global INEOS Procurement to maximise group leverage possibilities.
2. Ensuring that security of supply for services is maintained safely, to the correct technical specification and on schedule to meet operational requirements; and providing expert advice on procurement related risks, including in depth market knowledge both commercial and technical to all INEOS procurement customers.
3. Leading negotiations with suppliers to secure best commercial terms based on agreed specifications and demand to ensure best value for money.
4. Ability to review / assist detailed cost submissions and challenge cost submissions to ensure final account valuations match the contract intent, when required; whilst negotiating claims and application of liabilities in the event of dispute relating to service provision or material supply.
5. Identifying and recommending new suppliers to the businesses where they can demonstrate they offer a commercial and/or technical advantage to INEOS O&P UK.
About You:
You should:
1. Have established procurement / commercial / contractual experience within a large complex manufacturing environment across a suite of business critical services & materials commodities.
2. Have established negotiation skills and techniques with a good understanding of cost drivers.
3. Have a good commercial understanding of external markets and cost drivers that may impact site services and/or materials pricing with ability to establish and promote approach to market strategies to mitigate unnecessary cost within the supply chain.
4. Be a self-starter and a good communicator across both external & internal stakeholders (i.e. engineers, planners, asset managers, project managers, cost specialists, key contractors and suppliers).
5. Have a good working knowledge and skills of MS Office tools including Excel, Word etc.
Provide internal stakeholders with expert advice on all commercial/procurement related risks, including in depth market knowledge (commercial and technical) and approach to market strategies.
Preferred but Not Essential:
1. MCIPS qualified or studying towards / equivalent chartered membership.
2. Commercial degree.
3. QS qualified.
