Main Duties of the Job

Job Responsibilities
The Salford Home Based Treatment Team (HBT) are looking for an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist (OT) to join the team until the end of January 2025 to support service users who are in acute mental health crisis. The OT would be responsible for attending the multi-disciplinary team meetings to screen appropriate service users for OT assessment and intervention, complete necessary functional needs assessments for these service users, and make necessary onward referrals and a treatment plan for ongoing OT needs. This would either be in the service users' homes or in the crisis beds at the Salford Listening Lounge. The OT can receive clinical supervision and support from the inpatient OT colleagues, as well as be well supported by the experienced mental health practitioners within the team as part of their role.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Hold a Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
* Be HCPC registered.
* Practice in accordance with the professional, ethical, and legal codes of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Trust and NHS protocols and guidelines.
* Have previous NHS experience within a Mental Health Service.

£19.10 to £30.56 an hour, with uplifts for nights/weekends/Bank Holidays.
