As a Product Innovation Manager for Wisehead, you will be responsible for flawless delivery of the annual operating plan (AOP), from inspiration to implementation, with exceptional project leadership and management of the liquid work streams.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the technical liquid development and project management of new soft drinks products for Global Premium Adult, focused on London Essence, from concept to commercialization in our internal and contract manufacturing facilities.
* Build effective collaborative partnerships with Marketing, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Suppliers. Influence and provide direction enabling the cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
* Implement and contribute to the liquid development strategy for Global Premium Adult, by maintaining excellent knowledge of liquid, production processes and techniques, trends, and competitors while keeping abreast of new technologies.
* Support the delivery of the Brand Sustainability Roadmap, via specific initiatives and appropriate management of projects within the AOP program.
* Ensure all project work is compliant with Britvic's technical processes and legal requirements related to soft drinks, via accurate and high-quality documentation for development work.
* Use strong technical knowledge, leadership, and influence to provide technical direction and connection to support the delivery of new products within R&D and Technical teams for successful product delivery, optimization, and appropriate pace.
* Actively manage project risks across process, product, and packaging, with appropriate mitigation plans.
* Manage 1 to 2 liquid development technologists, developing them through coaching and good line management to deliver their own projects or partner with you on larger projects.

Knowledge And Skills
* Advanced skills and understanding of ingredients, processes, nutrition, innovation, and sustainability across beverage categories.
* Understanding of consumer research and insights, marketing, and commercial functions to support effective cross-functional teamwork on innovation projects, using trend and competitor awareness to inform project briefs.
* A strategic innovative mindset, comfortable in fast-paced environments with the ability to engage and excel technical detail while considering the bigger picture and "outside-in" perspectives.
* Robust understanding of marketing, legal, and technical considerations to be considered for successful product development. Strong knowledge of GMP and local regulations (EFSA/FDA/Reach/HACCP).
* Broad supply chain knowledge and understanding to support implementation of new products in internal and external production facilities.
* Capability in direct line management and people development across functions via coaching, training, and mentoring.
* Knowledge of program management to support planning and management of ensuring appropriate resource and budget allocation.
* Strong Stakeholder Management skills; influencing, connecting, communication, and engagement.
* Strong analytical skills; both quantitative and qualitative.
* Strong project management experience.
* Working knowledge of IT systems such as MS Office is essential.
Qualifications/Experience
* A-levels essential, degree preferred in a Science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Food, Nutrition).
* Experience working within FMCG technical departments, managing delivery of technical projects as part of a cross-functional team within a governance or formal process is essential.
* Proven track record in R&D, specifically product development in food and drink, across multiple categories.
* Experience of successfully managing multiple projects from concept to implementation.
* Experience of working with manufacturing departments, good understanding of GMP, food safety (HACCP).
