Job Title: Admissions Officer
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: £27,227 - £29,551 per annum
Hours: 37 Hours per week
Location: Cardiff and the Vale
Cardiff and Vale College are looking for a number of Admissions Officers to work within the Student Services team. The postholder will support learners with the Admissions process and provide impartial advice and guidance to all potential and current students. You will be working closely with curriculum departments and keeping them fully informed of their current recruitment progress and status. Dealing with a full range of enquiries relating to all stages of the admissions process from application through to enrolment.
Additionally, you will:
1. Maintain accurate and up to date applicant files within EBS that documents the applicant's recruitment journey. Also maintain accurate contact logs and data entry of applications.
2. Administer and screen applicants as appropriate and refer prospective students to specialised services, such as Careers Wales, Learning Support, Welfare, etc.
3. Process acknowledgement emails and/or letters for applicants.
4. Meet and greet applicants at events and open evenings. Represent and promote the service at a range of college events including Open Days and HE Careers Fairs.
5. Provide information, advice, and guidance about the full range of college courses via telephone, email, live chat, and face to face. Assist applicants to find and secure suitable alternative curriculum offers as appropriate.
Successful candidates will have a sound educational background (degree or equivalent) or demonstrable commensurate experience. A Level 4 qualification or equivalent in Information, Advice and Guidance would be advantageous but not essential for the role.
While the ability to speak Welsh is not essential for the role, we would love to hear from candidates who are fluent and can engage with learners through the medium of Welsh.
