Technical Procurement Engineer

The Job:
You will be responsible for scheduling your own work to ensure the business objectives are met, always identifying and delivering cost-saving opportunities whilst procuring the most suitable components for the project. Some key tasks will include:
1. Contribution to the generation of procurement specifications.
2. Build and maintain strategic and key supplier relationships, providing clear communication on day-to-day procurement activities.
3. Accountable for successful supplier performance management.
4. Ensure technical excellence, quality, and functionality of all contracts according to quality, safety, reliability, maintainability, and cost targets.
5. Contribute to proposals and contracts to ensure budgets and lead times are accurate and viable.
6. Work with other individuals, teams, and disciplines within the business to support Sales, new product development, and aftermarket support.
7. Undertake vendor site visits and technical meetings as required.
The Person:
We are looking for a self-starter with a keen eye for detail. You will be degree qualified or have equivalent experience. Experience within the Oil, Gas, or fuel industries would be a large advantage.
The Package:
* £50,000 - £60,000 DOE

This is a Cambridge-based role, and you will need to be able to work from the Cambridge office.
