The Role:
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Support Assistants to work across multiple Special Educational Needs and Primary School provisions in the Bridgend area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with additional learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and other learning or emotional difficulties.
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans.
- Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to deliver high-quality education and care.
- Engage with pupils through creative and interactive methods to promote their development and learning.
- Travel between SEN and Primary provisions in the Bridgend area as required.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people (experience in SEN settings is desirable but not essential).
- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
- Flexibility to work across multiple locations and adapt to varying environments.
- A valid driver's license and access to your own vehicle (essential due to travel requirements).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A willingness to undergo relevant training and background checks (including an enhanced DBS).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
