The School and Role
This SEN School based in Leeds are looking to appoint a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to teach in a small group and 1;1 with learners who have SEN. We are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant who has team teach and is looking to learn from the school as well as work their way up whilst earning money and experience. Working in this SEN School as part of an established team, you will be required to work on a therapeutic wrap-around support and work on the school s curriculum model. You will become trained to be an expert at play-based therapy and learning and trauma informed and restorative practice.
Requirements
The desired SEN Teaching Assistant will have;
* Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.
* Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to implement personalized learning plans.
* Creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
* Assisting with the development and implementation of sensory and behavioral strategies.
* Monitoring and recording student progress, communicating effectively with parents and guardians.
* Team teach is desirable
