JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT The core responsibilities of the Income Auditor are to check that all charges raised by each department have been properly posted to guests accounts or otherwise accounted for and the correct procedures have been followed and that all daily income that should have been received by the hotel was received. RESPONSIBILITIES Typical Duties and Responsibilities · Audit the daily revenue figures, supporting reports and vouchers · Ensure all revenue is captured and reported · Review entertainment dockets and officers checks, ensuring authorised correctly · Check that complimentary rooms have been appropriately authorised · Audit the telephone interface report ensuring telephone revenue has been posted · Ensure Front Office & Outlet reports are printed, audited and filed in date order · Verify daily postings: C/cards, city ledger, allowances/rebates and miscellaneous · Prepare rebate and allowance summary and rebate journal · Reconcile C/ card charges between card machine and POS on a daily basis · Input and allocate C/card payments from bank statements · Prepare daily revenue report for the Director of Finance · Audit daily cash summary from Cashier and record in General Cashier’s Report. · Ensure any changes to Room Rate Discrepancy Report are authorised · Record cashier over/under following up with Outlet Managers or FO Manager · Follow up on discrepancies/incomplete work/ missing information · Ensure all paid out vouchers have proper authorisation, signatures and backup · Audit daily F&B report verifying cashier’s remittances to the General Cashier’s Report · Ensure all restaurant and bar checks are properly accounted for · Ensure that all banquet’s and function’s revenues are entered · Ensure the accurate and timely input of data to the general ledger system · Maintain adequate and up to date files · Handle all requests and inquiries in a timely and efficient manner What are we looking for? Minimum Qualifications Appropriate qualification in business/finance/accounting. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of: · Modern accounting practices · Relevant Tax laws in PNG · Hospitality operations. Skills in: · Advance Excel · Problem solving.
