About the Role
Digital offers local government extensive opportunities to deliver efficient and effective services that meet increasingly demanding citizen expectations in an ever changing technology, data and security world, but it needs to be approached from a broad range of aspects of the organisation including changing organisational culture, redesigning services from the customer perspective, changing organisation policies and procedures, improving skills, collaborating, making better use of organisational data, and taking effective advantage of current and emerging technology. It cuts across every aspect of a council and must be addressed from a corporate and political level across policy areas if real change is to be realised.
The Digital Communications Officer will be responsible for planning and executing communications for WLGA Digital Team stakeholders. This role involves managing digital communications channels, including email, website, and social media, to enhance engagement and promote the activities of the Digital Team. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with the Welsh Language Act by effectively communicating in both English and Welsh.
