Join Our Cleaning Team at Sainsbury's South Woodham Ferrers

At Arcus, cleaners are a vital part of our company. We are looking to recruit two part-time In Store Cleaners at Sainsbury's South Woodham Ferrers store on a fixed-term basis until 31 May 2025, with an hourly rate of £11.71.

Shift Patterns
Sainsbury's stores are open 7 days a week. We offer various shift patterns with 5 and 6 day working options, including early morning, morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, with weekend work. The current shift patterns are:
1. Pattern 1 - 28 hours per week
o Sunday: 06:00 to 12:30
o Monday: 05:30 to 12:00
o Tuesday: Day off
o Wednesday: Day off
o Thursday: 05:30 to 12:00
o Friday: 05:30 to 12:00
o Saturday: 05:30 to 09:30
2. Pattern 2 - 28 hours per week
o Sunday: 06:00 to 10:30
o Monday: Day off
o Tuesday: Day off
o Wednesday: 13:30 to 19:00
o Thursday: 13:30 to 19:00
o Friday: 13:30 to 19:00
o Saturday: 12:30 to 19:00
You may have opportunities to increase your hours through overtime.
Responsibilities
Arcus cleaners are responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in Sainsbury's supermarkets. Tasks include but are not limited to:
* Operating cleaning machinery
* Thorough cleaning activities such as mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping
* Cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, and oven canopies
* Cleaning outside areas like trolley bays to keep them free of leaves and debris
* Applying health and safety procedures
Full training will be provided by Arcus.
Requirements
While previous cleaning experience is beneficial, it is not essential as on-the-job training will be provided. You should have:
* An eye for detail and cleanliness
* A positive attitude towards cleaning and customer service
* Ability to provide a smartphone that is NFC compatible and can access the Arcus Connect App for recording time and attendance, which is a condition of employment
