Role Overview
As the Digital Assistant Buyer & Trader, you will play a key role in supporting the Digital Merchandising/Trading team, bridging both Buying and Trading functions. This hybrid role will focus on optimising sales performance, managing stock levels, contributing to strategic planning, and supporting product selection across all product categories, including vb.com, Re-loved (Faume), and clearance.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including E-commerce, Commercialisation, Design, and Production, to ensure that our collections are both commercially successful and aligned with our brand vision.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee Open-to-Buy (OTB) planning across all product categories for the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) E-commerce division.
2. Support the buying process, assisting in product selection and ensuring alignment with brand strategy and commercial goals.
3. Forecast sales and stock levels to achieve sales plans and sell-through targets, covering both victoriabeckham.com full price & sale, clearance & re-loved (through Faume).
4. Manage annual and seasonal sales and margin budgeting, contributing to category planning and strategic objectives for four collections annually.
5. Identify opportunities for stock optimisation, including managing the process for stock transfers and reorders.
6. Collaborate with the Commercialisation team to support range planning, category optimisation, and drive range planning with a creative and commercial mindset.
7. Monitor performance metrics and provide insightful analysis to identify risks and opportunities.
8. Compile reporting for weekly trade meetings, presenting key data and recommendations to support business decisions.
9. Take ownership of exclusive capsule collection briefs, ensuring alignment with commercial goals, brand identity, and current market trends.
10. Support weekly sales phasing for vb.com & Re-loved websites.
Key Requirements:
1. Proven experience in a buying/merchandising or trading role within a fashion retail business, preferably within luxury or premium brands.
2. Love for luxury fashion with a strong understanding of Victoria Beckham’s branding, visual identity, and product portfolio.
3. Strong background in planning weekly sales, stock, and intake management.
4. Confidence in managing and owning a product category, with active participation in trade meetings.
5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally across teams.
6. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
7. Experience in managing and developing team members is desirable.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong numerical and analytical skills.
9. Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of eCommerce and omnichannel environments.
10. A creative mindset with the ability to identify and interpret fashion trends, supporting product selection and range development.
