MEP Pre-Construction Manager
We are working with a leading multi-facilitated specialist contractor across Construction, Energy Solutions & Building Services who are seeking an experienced candidate from a Pre-Con, Estimating or Quantity Surveyor background to join their team.
They are seeking an experienced MEP Pre-Construction Manager to lead and coordinate the preconstruction phase of projects. This key role bridges commercial and operational teams, requiring strong industry awareness, commercial acumen, and technical expertise in mechanical and/or electrical disciplines.
Ideal for a senior estimator seeking career progression or a contracts manager/quantity surveyor looking for a new challenge.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee pre-construction activities and ensure a smooth handover to operations.
* Review tender estimates and lead commercial handover meetings.
* Manage procurement, cost alignment, and supply chain engagement.
* Provide commercial reports, track costs, and monitor risks.
* Coordinate design consultants and ensure timely technical submittals.
* Develop and manage pre-construction schedules and progress updates.
* Lead internal meetings, change control, and subcontractor accounts.
* Issue early procurement orders to mitigate risks and support project handover.
Person Specification:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software, particularly Excel.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
* Effective communicator and team player.
* Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Preconstruction, Estimating, Tendering, Quantity Surveyor, Procurement, Pre-Construction.
