Our Client (Global Home Appliance Manufacturer) based in Weybridge is looking for a Heating Sales Engineer. In this role, you will be providing assistance to homeowners, installers, and merchants alike. You will provide product training and technical assistance to customers on our range of Air to Water Heat Pumps throughout England. You will be responsible for heat pump installer development and for sales and technical related activities for installer development. Additionally, you will drive sales of the air to water heat pump products, including AWHP. You will support existing wholesaler sales channels and home builders. You will have at least 3 years of experience as a heat pump engineer with a good knowledge of heat pump products and an understanding of the plumbing and heating industry.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Identify and create new sales opportunities with both existing and new customers, aiming to achieve agreed set volume targets.
* Maintain and service sales agreements with targeted customers and achieve set and agreed KPIs.
* Prepare project designs, specifications, and quotations, and support the sales team.
* Execute sales strategy as discussed and agreed with the Heating National Sales Manager.
* Provide effective and detailed reporting of all sales and business development activities.
* Promote the brand through regular presentations to customers (wholesalers, homebuilders) as required.
* Deliver technical seminar presentations to identified heat pump installers.
* Liaise with other departments for cross-business opportunities, resolve payment disputes, assist in new product introduction, and manage end-of-life processes to optimize inventory levels.
Skills, Education & Experience:
* Solid experience in the Heating Heat Pump market, preferably gained from a reputable manufacturer. Engineering or other relevant technical qualifications are desirable.
* BPEC qualified (Preferred), CSCS (Preferred), NVQ in plumbing (Preferred).
* Proven performance and customer management skills.
* Good understanding of all relevant legislation and government grants related to heating and plumbing.
* Great technical and product awareness, including product development and business planning.
* Knowledge of heating routes in the plumbing and heating industry, and specialization in renewable distribution.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Good networking skills and abilities.
* Experience working within a performance management environment, including KPIs and Service Level Agreements.
* Highly focused and capable of sustaining a fast pace in a dynamic environment.
* Able to constructively challenge and improve existing practices.
* Completer finisher, resilient in driving issues through to successful customer-focused solutions.
* Good judgment, able to make practical and realistic decisions within the scope of responsibility.
* Proven commercial acumen and ability to achieve commercial objectives.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel.
* Full UK Driving License.
