Career Teachers are recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work in our Secondary School based in Haringey. This position is full-time Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-3:45 pm, supporting children with additional needs.

This position is long-term with the view to go permanent and pays between £86-£100 per day on PAYE and options for Umbrella payment.
General Skills
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) you will have:
1. Experience as a Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant based in a school in the UK or have a NARIC.
2. Completed relevant courses in childcare, safeguarding, Teaching Assistant, etc.
3. Experience as a Carer for Adults or Children.
4. Bachelors/Master in English, Maths, Science, Art, History, etc.
5. Youth work or Police officer experience.
6. Willingness and ability to adapt to a wide range of duties in response to changing circumstances.
Responsibilities
You will be required to do the following:
1. Ensure that the students you are supporting are focused and remain on task.
2. Maintain a positive approach to managing students' behaviour.
3. Consistently follow the school policies on behaviour management.
4. Follow instructions and the work set by the Head of the Department or class teachers.
5. Work 1-1 and support the class teacher.
