Job description: We have an opportunity for a Composites Technical Buyer to join the Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring composite car components from external suppliers along with related parts such as rohacell and tooling. We aspire to be the absolute best in every aspect of our team. What you will be doing:
1. To purchase high-quality composite components and tooling to tight time scales and at competitive prices.
2. To coordinate tooling, raw material, and child parts to suppliers in time as required.
3. To purchase composite raw materials.
4. To develop and manage the external composite supply chain ensuring selected suppliers can meet all required standards and optimise delivery performance.
5. To report any delivery exceptions to stakeholders in a timely manner to manage expectations.
6. Pro-active communication with all relevant stakeholders to achieve the most effective procurement.
7. Develop a thorough working knowledge of the company’s ERP system and contribute to its ongoing development.
Requirements:
1. Excellent working knowledge of composite component manufacture.
2. Excellent working knowledge of pattern and mould manufacture.
3. Working knowledge of composite raw materials.
4. Thorough understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
5. Proven strong negotiation skills.
6. Previous ERP experience.
7. Able to perform duties in a timely manner with minimal errors.
8. Communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
9. Clear and concise communication.
10. Previous experience of MS applications including Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
11. Flexible attitude with the ability to work within a team in a high-pressure rapidly changing environment.
12. Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture.
