Job summary We are seeking a highly motivated and professional individual, to work 37.5 hours over 5-days, Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day, to assist a multi-skilled team of tradesmen to undertake planned and reactive maintenance as well as alterations and improvement works within properties on the Livewell Southwest estate. As the successful applicant, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring that the grounds of our estate, spread across Plymouth and South West Devon, are kept in good condition and present the estate in a positive way. This will involve maintaining lawns, shrubs, hedges, borders etc as well as undertaking maintenance tasks such as gutter and gulley clearing and ensuring grounds, roadways and paths are safe at all times of the year. You will have the opportunity to develop the grounds in a positive way and improve their overall appeal to the benefit of patients, staff and visitors. The role will involve the use of a variety of grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, chainsaws, blowers, strimmers, pesticide applicators etc. You will also be required to work on your own after having gained experience of the sites. Good communication skills and a willingness to undertake training are required. You must be numerate and literate, with good written skills. You must be able to work overtime at short notice, if required, and have the ability to travel across Plymouth.
