Citygate Insurance Services are looking for an experienced commercial account handler to work in our north London office. Citygate were established over 10 years ago, and have 3 offices in the UK. This position would ideally suit someone within an existing account handler role with 2 or more years experience, who is looking to progress their career. This is a full-time role with a permanent contract of employment. You will be based in our north London office, although a hybrid of homeworking and office attendance may be considered. Duties to include: To act as back-office support for the Business Development Manager and other members of the London team in the broking, administration and processing of commercial business. Communicating with clients to manage renewal information, perform mid-term adjustments and take first notification of loss in the event of a claim. Interacting on a day-to-day basis with underwriters to negotiate premiums, generate quotes via Etrade, as well as manual submission and processing of mid-term adjustments. Work with the Business Development Manager to generate leads, and drive new business, by introducing your own personal network where possible. Utilise SSP for data input and to generate market presentations as well as client facing reports. Ensure compliance with FCA regulations. To be considered for this position, ideal candidates must have the following experience and skills: Minimum of 2 years experience within a commercial brokerage at handler level. Experience of SSP or similar insurer backed systems. Use of Microsoft Word and Excel. High level of interpersonal skills and the ability to build successful, mutually beneficial business relationships. Ability to communicate with customers and insurers face to face, in writing and over the telephone. Solid knowledge of the commercial insurance market and products available. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. A Cert CII qualification would be an advantage, but not essential. ADZN1_UKTJ
